Five steps from the car sitting on an auction floor in Japan to the keys in your hand. Here's exactly how it goes.
Give us the model, the colour, the spec and roughly what you want to spend. We set a sensible target for the landed cost and start watching the auctions.

We read the grade sheets, tell you straight what we make of them, and bid to your limit. No getting carried away, no overpaying to win.

De-registration, export papers and the sailing to an Irish port, by RoRo or container. It's tracked and insured the whole way.

We clear customs, pay any duty and VAT, and put it through the NCTS VRT inspection. The Revenue side gets done properly, first time.

Irish reg, plates on, motor tax sorted. Then it's yours to drive.

Every car at a Japanese auction gets inspected and graded by an independent examiner. The grade tells you about the mileage and the condition inside and out. We read every sheet for you and only chase the grades worth chasing.
As good as new. Flawless and barely driven.
Almost showroom condition, minimal use.
Very clean, only minor scratches or marks.
Light flaws, perhaps minor repairs.Best value
A few noticeable scratches and small dents.Solid choice
Mid/large dents or panel & welding repair work.Budget project
Heavier damage or possible mechanical defects.
Previously accident-repaired (RA = light). On request only.
We only point you at cars we'd happily buy ourselves, usually grade 4 and up. And we'll tell you straight which grade suits your budget.
From EU standards to motor tax, we deal with the fiddly bits so you can just get in and drive.
Japanese tyres often don't carry the EU “E” mark or the right load and speed rating, and they'll fail the NCT. We check every tyre and fit legal, EU-approved rubber where it's needed.
Most cars built for Japan don't have a rear fog light, but you need one over here. We fit a compliant one so it passes.
Handy one: Japanese cars are right-hand drive and dip to the left, same as us, so there's no headlight or steering conversion to do. We still check the aim, the lenses and every bulb.
Heavy JDM tint on the windscreen or front windows can be over the Irish limit (you need 65% of the light getting through) and fail the test. We check it and sort it if it's too dark.
It has to pass the NCT emissions check, and VRT now has a NOₓ charge on top. We check where it stands beforehand so nothing catches you out at the centre.
We do the NCTS/VRT inspection and get your Irish plates, then tell you exactly what the yearly motor tax will be before you're on the road.
Real cars we've bought, shipped and registered for people over here.

Genuine words from people we've imported for, every car on Irish plates.
Very happy with my purchase — the car was in excellent condition, exactly as described before I bought. The whole team were a great help.
You're the best! I've bought so many cars through you — for me there's simply no one better. I recommend you to everyone and I'll keep working with you.
Really great car — delighted with it.
Everything went perfectly from start to finish. Thank you so much.
Straight answers, a clear price, and no nasty surprises.
We check every car when it arrives. If it's materially different from its auction grade sheet, that's on us and we put it right.
A single itemised quote, the car, shipping, duty, VAT, VRT and our fee, all agreed before you pay a penny.
Bidding, export, shipping, customs, the VRT inspection and Irish plates, all through one team.
You pay in stages, and your money only ever goes towards a specific car you've already seen and approved.
The business is fully insured and your car is covered in transit, so your money is safe from the auction bid right through to Irish plates.
You get the independent auction grade sheet, the condition map and a structural check before you commit.
Sourcing and quoting cost you nothing. You only go ahead when the numbers actually work for you.
Usually 80 to 120 days from the winning bid to Irish plates. Some of that is sourcing and waiting for the right auction, then it's about 6 to 8 weeks at sea, then customs, the VRT inspection and registration. We keep you posted the whole way through.
Very often, yes, especially for the cars that are dear in Ireland, the MPVs and the JDM stuff. You're buying at wholesale auction with no forecourt markup on top. Have a play with our cost estimator for a realistic figure, and we'll pin down an exact quote before you commit to anything.
No. You sign off on every car before we bid, using its independent auction inspection sheet with the condition map, grade and photos. Nothing gets bid on without your say-so and your top price.
We handle the lot: customs clearance, any duty or VAT, and the NCTS VRT inspection. We work these out in advance so there's no nasty bill at the end, and everything gets registered in your name.
That's the fun part of the job. With over 150,000 cars going through the auctions every week, we can chase an exact model, year, trim and factory colour, including ones that were never sold here.
Japanese auction grading is genuinely accurate, and we only buy through reputable houses. We check every car when it lands and we stand behind what we import. That's the whole point of getting someone to do it for you.
Tell us the car and what you want to spend. Within 24 hours we'll send you live auction matches and a full, itemised landed-cost quote you can hold us to. It costs nothing and we won't hound you.
