Indicative estimate only. VRT is charged by Revenue on the car's OMSP (its Irish market value, which Revenue assesses, not the price you paid), so set the OMSP field to what a similar car sells for here, we apply the current CO₂ band rate and NOₓ levy on top. For an exact figure, look your car up on Revenue's own VRT calculator and paste it into the “Exact VRT from Revenue” box, it overrides our estimate. The NCT is €60 if you take the car to the test centre yourself; €300 if we handle the test for you, or from €800 if we also fit new EU-compliant tyres where the Japanese tyres don't meet EU requirements (quoted before we fit). Assume the 10% import duty applies: the 0% rate only applies where the car has valid EU-Japan EPA proof of Japanese origin, which not every auction car qualifies for. Annual motor tax is a recurring yearly cost shown separately. Our concierge fee starts at €1,000 to bring the car to Dublin Port or €1,500 for complete Irish registration, rising €250 for every €10,000 of the car's purchase price up to €40,000, then €1,000 for every €10,000 above that, with 23% VAT on top. Actual VRT and motor tax are confirmed by Revenue from the car's Irish OMSP, CO₂ and NOₓ. We give you an exact, itemised quote before you commit a cent.
